Karindundu Factory is located on the outskirts of Karatina Town in the Nyeri District. Like many other Kenyan coffees we sell, it is part of a large cooperative (the cooperative also includes other factories we offer, such as Gatomboya and Gaturiri). Hundreds of smallholder farmers in the surrounding area are members of the cooperative. They deliver coffee cherries to the Karindundu wet mill, where on-site processing takes place. Cup tasting results show the mill puts tremendous care into preparation. In addition, this coffee features the highly sought-after SL-28 and SL-34 varieties, further boosting its quality. AB refers to the bean size: coffee beans screened between 15/64 inch and 16/64 inch using metal sieves.
